My name is Kirill Nikolaev, I’m 26 and I’m a UI/UX designer from Ukraine. I’ve worked for over 6 years in various companies (from web studios to large bureaucratic firms), in offices and remotely, at home and in cafes, attending conference after conference, and serving as a mentor in a company – I’ve done it all.
After taking a creative break for six months and resting from work, I decided to try freelance with clients directly, and I really enjoyed it. I communicated directly with the client, without any “broken phone” intermediaries, I hear the client clearly, and they hear me. This is a completely different way of working, unlike working in large firms with many approvals, numerous managers, and the like. Looking for a permanent job in an office lost any meaning – I decided to grow as a self-employed specialist.
Companies are becoming more educated in the IT industry. More and more entrepreneurs can hire a competent project manager who knows design prices on the market (or at least knows how to use Google), prices for layout, and more. More and more prefer to work directly with specialists (verified freelancers), and this trend is growing.
Looking at it all from the outside, I decided to focus on my work, but at a higher level than freelancers on freelance marketplaces – providing a guarantee of results with a refund if not satisfied, quality service, and a calculator on the website for convenient project cost calculation without invented “off the top of my head” prices that do not depend on the client’s financial status. Everything is open and honest.
I also receive many similar questions from clients, and this site helps me answer them, find a brief, view examples of technical requirements, case studies, and more.
I look forward to working together!
